    About The Role

    The Supervisor – On Bench & Plant oversees meeting the daily, weekly and monthly downstream manufacturing production plans to ensure quality product is available as required to satisfy the S&OP, leads the production team and assumes overall accountability for operations at the facility.     What you will be doing

    Key Accountabilities Provides analytical/decision support to area manager on continuous improvement plan for decreasing operational costs. Participates in the short, medium, and long-term planning activities of the site. Completes mandatory monthly inventory counts and reconciliations, safety meetings, annual Letter of Assurance and ensure all actions assigned to the Site are completed required databases. Audits and inspects site operations to ensure regulatory requirements are met and are performed safely in accordance company policies. Ensures mandatory training of all employees is completed and documented. Manage employee training plans. Documents all training activities, develop, motivate and supervise employees for performance to full potential while safely providing customer service. Ensures that good housekeeping, record keeping, and preventative maintenance programs are in place. Assists in preparation of fixed cost budgets, capital expenditures, staffing, equipment requirements, and a updated Resource Model. Analyses site inventories to minimize product quantities and improve site profitability through stock rotation and management. Schedules daily activities of employees to meet customer requirements and ensures proper management of site including raw material ordering, and preventative maintenance. Communicates and develops/implements action plan to address any operational issues. Effectively communicates and manages all outside regulatory agency audits/inspections and implement necessary action plans as required. Maintains, develops, and increases accounts in a safe and profitable manner while meeting corporate goals and improving customer satisfaction. Communicates regularly with customers seeking opportunities for improving Orica services. Ensures product produced meets the quality and volume requirements hourly and daily Responds to and communicates deviations from production plans (including plant trip notification updates/timelines) Ensures Plant operation is always within the safe operating window as defined. Ensures non-compliances are reported for investigation and resolution. Ensures Plant operation time maximised within the defined efficiency operating window Ensures efficient use of raw materials Delivers Process Planning as an integrated component of Maintenance Planning and Scheduling Executes the planned and unplanned preparation of the plant, including the necessary permit to work processes, to allow safe and efficient maintenance execution (including shutdowns). Conducts regular scheduled and unscheduled plant equipment and general inspections and formalise outcomes and actions.

    • Minimum 7 years experience post qualification.
    • Experience leading a team, including building a collaborative approach.
    • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
    • Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement.
    • Ability to plan, influence & execute.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.

    BAND F TECHNICAL SPECIALIST

    • Minimum 3 to 6 years experience post qualification.
    • Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships with a range of stakeholders.
    • Strong strategic and commercial acumen supported by sound commercial judgement.
    • Ability to plan, influence & execute.
    • Strong written and verbal communication skills to present strategic logic and recommended pathways, coupled with the ability to present to key stakeholders.

    Role dependent – technical &/or functional business system applications required for tasks (e.g. SAP, SF, Concur, analytics/visualisation tools, engineering software, etc.)

    Your Qualifications

    Insert tertiary qualification required for role (e.g. Accountant must have a tertiary degree in an Accounting discipline, an Engineer must have a tertiary degree in an Engineering discipline)

    OR

    Technical qualification / legistlative / SHES certification
